Three Good Stops

Privacy Policy

Three Good Stops is run by Brand Marketing Concepts out of Ashe County, North Carolina. We collect as little as we can to plan your trips and run the service, and we never sell your information.

What we collect

• Your account: your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash; we can't read them.
• Your trips: the start and end places you type, your trip settings (driving hours, break length, vehicle, pets, kids and similar preferences) and any trips you save or share.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep your Stripe customer ID and whether you have an active plan or trip credits.
• Email list: if you sign up for route emails, your email address and where you signed up. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
• Usage: which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked, with the referring site and device type. Visitors are counted with a one-way code that changes every day, so we don't store your IP address in our analytics. We also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies.
• Free-trip protection: a one-way hash of your network address and a random device ID cookie, used only to stop the same device from creating unlimited free accounts.

Cookies

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, the device ID cookie described above, and Google Analytics cookies. We don't use advertising or retargeting cookies.

Who we share it with

Only the services that make the product work, and only what each one needs:

• Google Maps Platform: the places you type, to find them and work out the route. For some stops we also look up opening hours by location.
• National Weather Service: stop locations and times, for the forecast. No personal details are sent.
• Stripe: payments.
• Microsoft 365: sends our account and route emails.
• Render and Neon: host the app and its database in the United States.
• Google Analytics: site usage.

Some pages carry clearly marked affiliate links. If you click one, that company knows you came from us. We don't pass them your email address or your trips.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we'll only disclose it if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and saved trips until you ask us to delete them. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom of it.
• Cancel a subscription any time from your account's billing page.
• To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and everything in it, email info@threegoodstops.com from the address on your account. We'll do it within 30 days.

Children

Three Good Stops is for adults planning trips. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and we'll email account holders about any significant change.
